What is a Buckley dial? These excellent Roman numeral marker dials differentiate themselves as true collector items with painted numerals as opposed to the more commonly seen applied marker, along with matching black hands. The Buckley dials were made famous after a Rolex collector coined the term several years back.
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt. The Rolex Datejust ref. 16013 is a transitional reference as it retains an acrylic crystal similar to earlier vintage Datejusts, but the movement is a Rolex cal. 3035 which possesses the "Quick-Set" date function which comes in handy when needing to quickly adjust the date.

CASE & BRACELET
The excellent case is believed to remain unpolished, showing strong factory finishing and dimensions with light signs of use. The 18k yellow gold fluted bezel is in excellent unpolished condition, showing little signs of use. The non-cyclops acrylic crystal gives the watch a minimalist appearance and allows for greater visibility of the dial. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The white "Buckley" dial remains bright and clean, there is a mark on the dial through the word "Oyster" and the rest of the dial remains in excellent condition. The tritium lume plots have taken on a warm creamy patina, under U.V. light inspection all of the lume plots remain intact with some light degradation throughout. The original black "Buckley" hands match the dial perfectly showing no lume loss or degradation under U.V. light inspection. The date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was just serviced and is keeping time perfectly. The watch will come with a 1-year warranty for accurate timekeeping.
